2024 AROUND THE WORLD OPEN AND CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
It’s that time again. I have a fair amount of info for you and decided to cram it into one email instead of several emails across several weeks flooding your inbox so please read all the way thru.

The Around the World is on Sunday 4/21 which is free and clear of Easter this year!
The Club Championship Shoot where members get to shoot course is on Saturday the 20th.
Reminder that members cannot shoot on Sunday (with 1 exception). This is one of the 2 events during the year that you are able to get your “big event” work credit.
Work Parties:

The Around the World and the Club Championship are large events that take a lot of work to setup. The more people on board the easier and smoother everything is. Remember that work parties count towards your membership agreement and every work party beyond the minimum goes to help reduce your dues for next year.
Raffle:
As we do every year, we will have a raffle with tons of prizes. Any help from members donating or getting a business to donate is greatly appreciated.
***BIG NEWS***
Again this year, members can participate. Thanks to help from our friends at Wilderness Archery, we will be raffling off an awesome new bow. Choice of Hoyt, Mathews, PSE or Bowtech, aluminum riser, brand new bare bow that also comes with a fitting done by a professional at Wilderness Archery that will be raffled away for $20 a ticket. Do not need to be present to win. Members and Around the World shooters will be eligible for this raffle which will be announced at the end of the Around the World Shoot on Sunday. (Winner can choose to pay difference to upgrade to carbon version of bow at Wilderness Archery afterwards). I need help spreading the word about this on social media. Tag friends, relatives. Post it on all the archery websites and their social media pages. Let’s get people excited to come shoot our event.

Sign-up:
We have a large range with lots of guests. Takes a lot of people to coordinate an event this size. This is where we call out for help. Below is a link to a sign-up sheet. There are morning and afternoon shifts. Pick a spot you feel comfortable or choose General and I will find something that is within your comfort zone but any help is needed and appreciated.Bike trail spots are crucial. If you like to read or can watch hours of videos on your phone, this is the job for you. The job sounds boring but it is one of the most important jobs of the shoot. We need to make sure these are filled.

This does count as one of the 2 events available per year to meet your membership requirements.

Parking:
As a reminder to old members and heads up to new members. Parking on the Maya property on the day of the shoot (4/21) is for guests who are shooting. Members/ Volunteers, unless handicapped or officers, are asked to park on Berry St. across the street from range. There is plenty of parking on the street as well as a lot for parking just beyond the rock processing yard across from Hasties.
