Maya Archers – August Update

Maya Member,

Membership renewals for 2022/2023 have been good so far…  364 members have renewed their membership to date.  We ended last year with 534 members on the books.  Each year we have approximately about 100 members who do not renew.  We still have several members not renewing their memberships.  After August 15th, members renewing who have credits will be lost and will be responsible for the full cost of renewal.

Those who you knew Greg Stoddard, I’m sorry to say that Greg passed away on this last July.  Greg was a Life Member of Maya serving as Range Manager and helped in the construction of our Clubhouse. Their will be a Memorial Service for Greg on August 6th, at 11:00 am at the Citrus Heights Fellowship, 7405 Mariposa Ave, Citrus Heights.

New Members – Orientation August 6th at 9 am.

Work Party – August 13th, beginning at 8 am.  We will be gluing paper targets and cleaning up weeds and trash around the clubhouse.

Inland Archery deer season begins on August 20th.

We have the date set for the 35th Annual Awesome Stickbow Classic on November 6th, 2022.  We will be getting ready for the shoot the Friday & Saturday before the tournament.  This is considered a Special Event and you can get the requirement out of the way by helping 1 of the 3 days.
After August 15th, the 2021/2022 email list will be terminated…  members who have renewed transfer over to our 2022/2023 email list.  So, if you have not renewed your membership for 2022/2023, this will be the last email from the club you will receive.
Thanks,
Dave Baker
